Molly Zapp
A warm sense of curiosity informs the writing and daily life of Molly Zapp.
She has written articles, essays and short fiction for a variety of publications, including Seven Days, Art New England, Newfound, and Metro Silicon Valley.
She completed a Master of Arts in English literature, rhetoric and composition from the University of Missouri, where her thesis focused on the rhetoric of the art-activist Beehive Design Collective. She received a Bachelor of Journalism in magazine journalism and a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in women's and gender studies, also from the University of Missouri.
While living in Montréal, she completed an intensive French language program at McGill University, and continues to practice the language every day.
While in London, Molly interned with the human rights magazine Index on Censorship. She is the co-author of a chapter in the book Censored 2007. Equally passionate in the kitchen as with writing, she worked as an assistant to the New York Times-bestselling cookbook author Marlene Koch.
Originally from the rural Midwest, Ms. Zapp lives in northern Vermont. She is currently studying to become a mindfulness meditation teacher, in a program run by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. Her kind, wise meditation mentor there is Devin Berry.
